The name 4:12 Foundation connects local roots with a deeper purpose. It draws from Pittsburgh’s familiar 412 area code and from the Bible verse 1 John 4:12, which speaks to loving one another in a way that makes God’s love visible through action.
The bridge in the foundation’s logo also carries special meaning. It represents helping people get to the other side of a difficult situation, offering support when life feels uncertain and a clear path forward is hard to see.

Since its founding, the 4:12 Foundation has grown into a meaningful source of support for families across Western and Central Pennsylvania. The foundation has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to more than 100 families and individuals, helping ease the burden of financial, medical, and personal hardship.
