Dennis began his career in financial services in 1991, during a time of significant change in the industry.  With tax code reform and the adoption of individual retirement accounts and the 401(k) plan, the way people looked at investing and financial planning was changing.  As an undergraduate at Grove City College, Dennis studied the emerging holistic methods, crafting financial case studies as part of his coursework.  He enjoyed the gratification of building paths toward financial security and determined that it was not only numbers that influenced sound financial choices, but also people and their unique circumstances.

After graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance, Dennis joined Cigna Financial Advisors; unusual at that time, the firm’s practice was based on holistic financial planning and provided Dennis with continued education and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with his clients.  Keeping pace with the evolving field of finance, Dennis added the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) Designation to his credentials to better serve clients’ needs.  Dennis works extensively with retiring teachers and administrators who are participants in the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System (PSERS).

Financial planning today has become less associated with any specific product or investment and far more associated with individual investor goals and strategies.  As co-owner and founding partner of DSF Wealth Management Group, LLC, Dennis has built a team of financial and support professionals who share his belief in educating people to make well-informed financial decisions.  Regardless of short-term market performance or volatility, it is an evaluation of client needs, identification of client goals, and implementation of customized strategies that shapes his planning process.

Throughout his career, Dennis’ practice has been motivated by his passion to help people.  He works with a wide variety of individuals in every walk and era of life – each with the desire to utilize earnings and wealth as a means to a better life for themselves and their families.  Dennis’ primary goal is to build lasting relationships to help individuals define and work towards securing their future, whatever life may bring.

Dennis and his wife, Michele, are longtime residents of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, and they attend St. James Church in Sewickley. Their daughter, Natalie, began her career at Drayer Physical Therapy in Moon Township after completing a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy at Saint Francis University. Matthew, their son, is continuing his education at Drexel University College of Medicine in pursuit of being a Doctor of Medicine (MD).  The Spanglers are actively involved in family gatherings and traveling the United States.  Despite the family’s hectic schedule, Dennis makes time for regular pick-up games and events with other fathers of former Moon students, and he enjoys golfing and going hunting each year.

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™

E: rfranks@dsfwealthgroup.com

Ryan’s passion for financial planning began with a question: Why do some people achieve financial security, while others struggle to maintain their quality of life? At a young age, Ryan’s dad, John, gave him the advice to, “always pay yourself first.” John worked in a bank and had seen the power of saving a little each paycheck and the profound impact that could have on one’s life – those that saved had a greater sense of financial freedom while those that cashed-in their paycheck each week continued working well into their later years.

Seeing that financial planning could dramatically improve lives, Ryan knew that he wanted to make a career of helping others manage their money. When he later became the co-founder of DSF Wealth Management Group, he made the company’s mission, “enabling others to have a better tomorrow.” Today, Ryan continues to build a team of financial and support professionals who share in this belief.

Now that Ryan has been in the business for over 20 years, his desire to help others has never wavered. He considers it a great honor and privilege to be a trusted partner of his clients to help them work towards their financial goals. Whether it be welcoming a new baby into the world, celebrating retirement, or grieving with them at the loss of a loved one, Ryan wants to be by their side for all of life’s milestones.

Ryan specializes in working with retirees, business owners, and families. Communication is at the center of his approach with his proactive outreach and regularly-scheduled reviews to ensure their plan is evolving to meet their changing needs. Where some firms push particular products, the DSF approach develops a comprehensive financial plan based on the client’s financial goals, including tax, retirement and estate planning. As an independent firm and a fiduciary, Ryan’s clients’ needs are always put above all else.

Originally from Huntingdon, PA, Ryan attended Susquehanna University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance and was a member of the Varsity Golf Team. Ryan has obtained the gold standard in Financial Planning as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), and he’s added the Chartered Financial Consultant™ (ChFC®) Designation and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) Designation.

Outside of work, Ryan and his wife, Valerie, maintain a busy household in Bethel Park, PA with their children, Dante (14) and Ella (12). This year, Dante decided to hang up his ice hockey skates to get more involved with volleyball and hunting with Ryan and John. Ella still tears it up on the ice with her SHAHA hockey team and is trying out cheerleading for the first time. They are members of the South Hills Bible Chapel. When not attending various sporting and school events, the Franks family love spending time with family, friends, and their Red Lab, Millie.

An avid competitive golfer, Ryan qualified and competed in the prestigious 102nd United States Amateur Championship in 2002, held at the South Course of Oakland Hills, Michigan. Ryan still enjoys competing in amateur golf events throughout the state. He is also involved with his alma mater, Susquehanna University where he loves paying it forward by counseling the next generation of financial advisors.

Teaching & Coaching

As a first-year undergrad at Waynesburg University, Kyle envisioned his professional career in teaching or coaching.  It was during a finance class that Kyle gained hands-on investment and trading experience in Waynesburg’s Student Trading Room.  The exercise showed Kyle that the real-life applications of finance were a means for him to both teach and coach, building relationships beyond a single semester or season.  He immediately set about making the classroom experience real by researching financial questions for family and friends, investing his personal savings, and by founding and acting as President of the Student Investment Club.  Kyle graduated from Waynesburg with his Masters in Business Administration, ready to educate in the field of financial planning.

Cultivating Relationships

After graduation, Kyle spent time as a Representative for Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he won national recognition for his excellent client service...but felt that assisting people with their insurance planning was only one facet of the dynamic, long-term relationships he might develop with clients.  As a financial adviser, Kyle knew he would be able to do more to help his clients to plan for their financial security, regardless of where they might be in their financial journey.

He joined the team at DSF Wealth Management Group, LLC in 2013 and has focused on building a comprehensive financial services practice by cultivating client relationships for the long term, while setting a standard of service that inspires clients to approach their financial planning as a lifestyle and tradition, rather than a chore. Kyle is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) and he partners with 567 workshops to delivery educational webinars and workshops to surrounding communities.

Building Tradition

Building tradition represents an important part of Kyle’s professional practice, as well as his personal life.  He and his wife, Carly, live in Robinson Township with their daughter, Kyla and son, Coen.  He is a member at Chartiers Country Club in Pittsburgh and plays in amateur golf tournaments each year with friends, clients, and colleagues. He and Carly attend the South Hills Bible Chapel, where they are actively involved, and Kyle also mentors at-risk youth through the BRIDGE Community Outreach Program.  Kyle includes time at the gym and travels with Carly throughout the year to visit family, friends, and bucket list destinations.

A goal without a plan is just a wish. ~ Antonie de Saint- Exupéry

Nick believes that having a plan is one of the most powerful tools to help individuals stay on track to achieve their personal and financial goals.  He is committed to investing the time up-front to get to know his clients and to learn what’s meaningful to them and their future. Assisting clients in building a tailored plan to meet their specific needs is always a top priority, and while having a financial plan is a great first step, Nick believes monitoring and updating the plan matters even more. If his clients are worried about changes in the tax code, generating enough income, or navigating the volatility of the stock market, Nick is always there to help make sure clients stay on track.

Nick joined DSF Wealth Management Group in 2024 soon after leaving his position as Senior Financial Advisor with another wealth management firm in Tampa. The culture at DSF made the choice an easy one for Nick, as well his belief in their core principle: “to enable our clients to have a better tomorrow.”

Nick graduated from Penn State University, University Park with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management where he was a member of the PGA of America organization and participated in THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.  He began his financial services career in 2016 with Merrill Lynch, Bank of America where he became a registered representative holding Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, along with life, accident, & health insurance licenses. Nick added the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) designation to his credentials to better help clients navigate changes in the industry.

Prior to beginning his career in finance, Nick worked at Augusta National, Oakmont, and The Creek Club golf clubs. During this time, Nick had the opportunity to learn excellent customer service that is fundamental at these notable clubs. The mastery of this skillset has now transitioned to servicing DSF clients.

Nick currently resides in Washington County with his fiancé, Sydney, and their dogs, Mia and Oliver. You’re likely to spot Nick on a Saturday morning run with Sydney, or on the links on any given Sunday enjoying a round of golf with family and friends. Nick enjoys travelling around the world and is always looking for an excuse to explore a new country. He is also an avid sports fan cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers or Penn State Nittany Lions.

Matt’s Education and Career

The seed of a Wealth Management career was first planted during Matt’s senior year finance capstone class at John Carroll University. Matt had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of how advisors can serve their clients by providing value to their financial lives. As with many seeds, it took some time for this one to grow and bear fruit.

Upon graduation, Matt worked at Ernst & Young as a consultant in the People Advisory Services practice where he focused on compensation and benefits consulting. Matt later joined a renewable energy firm where he was responsible for financial modeling and a wide range of valuation services for renewable energy assets. During these experiences, Matt learned to not only provide quality work, but also approach work with a client service focus.

In 2022, Matt joined DSF Wealth Management Group where he uses his expertise to develop financial plans, manage DSF’s portfolios, and assist clients in evaluating and implementing financial planning strategies to optimize their wealth.

Personal Life

Raised in Toledo, Ohio, Matt attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio to continue his Jesuit Catholic education. Matt credits much of who he is today to the values and ideals held by the Jesuits and the Catholic Church overall. In addition to receiving an excellent education, John Carroll also introduced Matt to his wife, Jessie, on the first day of orientation.

Matt and Jessie were married in Sedona, Arizona at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. They live in Ross Township, and are parishioners of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish and attend Mass weekly at St. Sebastian Church. Matt is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Outside of work, family and faith, Matt enjoys spending time in nature. Whether it’s skiing, backpacking sections of the Appalachian Trail, or visiting our country’s National Parks, Matt is always excited for an outdoor adventure.

Being able to help others has always been at the core of what drives Bridget. Having been a client of DSF Wealth Management Group since 2006, Bridget saw the way DSF partnered with her entire family to not only prepare them for the unexpected but also put them on the path to pursue their long-term financial goals.

Inspired by their process and the firm’s mission, “Enabling others to have a better tomorrow,” Bridget jumped at the opportunity to help others on a more personal level. In January of 2021, Bridget joined DSF Wealth Management Group as their Director of Operations.

As DSF has rapidly grown over the last few years, Bridget’s skillset and background of developing systems and evolving world-class brands aligned perfectly with what the firm needed during this crucial time period.

Bridget primarily works behind the scenes on the day-to-day operations which includes financial technology enhancements, client service improvements, human resources, and any other special projects that need to be addressed.

Prior to joining DSF, Bridget was the Vice President of Marketing for a B2B industrial supplier where she managed their brand, helped evolve the company to compete in a digital world, and led her team into new market growth.

Bridget graduated Magna Cum Laude from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a minor in American Studies. She and her husband Andy, reside outside of State College, PA with their two children Lucy and Henry. They love spending time with their family and friends and enjoy any sport containing a ball. While their daughter continually asks for a pony, they hope to keep their pets limited to a dog, Sadie and two cats, Hamish and Angus. She volunteers for her local Girls’ Basketball Booster Club, Girl Scouts, Little League, and is the Vice-Chairman for the 4:12 Foundation. Born in St. Andrews, Scotland, Bridget loves to travel and enjoys art, photography, and staying active.
