Alex’s dedication for helping others led her to make a career shift, and in the fall of 2023, she joined DSF Wealth Management Group. While she remains passionate about the technical side of investing, Alex wanted to move away from institutional wealth in order to develop deeper and more meaningful connections in her daily activities. Her role as a Financial Advisor allows her to do just that, as she is able to put faces to the names of those she serves, including clients, prospective clients, and other financial advisors within the DSF team.

In her previous role, Alex served as a Portfolio Manager for institutional clients at BNY Mellon. In this role, she acted with discretion for pension plans and foundations regarding the day-to-day administration of plan assets, including trading, portfolio design, asset allocation, and risk management. Prior to this, Alex served as a Business Development and Consultant Relations Analyst for Mellon Capital.

Alex graduated cum laude from University of Pittsburgh in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and a minor in Studio Arts. She is a proud alumni of the Phi Beta chapter of Chi Omega Fraternity, of which she served as treasurer in 2011. Alex has earned Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations from FINRA, and the Investment Foundations Certificate from CFA Institute. As a natural student and lifelong learner, Alex recently earned her Master’s Degree, with a specialization in Forensic Accounting from the University of Scranton.

While Alex grew up in the Philadelphia area, she has lived in Pittsburgh for the last 17 years. She currently resides in the south hills with her husband, Sean, and their dog Sophie. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, reading, and spending time outdoors.
